Online Egg and Spoon Race - Easter Hols

Every so often we like to add an extra fun event. For Easter, we had some spare rosettes, so we're adding in, for two weeks only, an Easter Holiday Online Egg and Spoon Race!

Closing Date - Sunday 14th April

There will be two options - a mounted egg and spoon race and an on foot egg and spoon race.
​
1. Mounted Egg and Spoon Race
​
Film your rider starting at C, going all the way round the school (it doesn't matter which rein they choose - we recommend having the spoon in your inside hand!) They must show you the egg on the spoon at the start, and at the end, so make sure you don't stop/start filming too early or late! They can ride at any speed, but if they drop the egg, they must HALT, and either dismount and collect the egg themselves, or have someone on foot hand it back to them and place on the spoon before they continue.

Rules:
You must use a standard 20x40m arena.
Cones or blocks must be placed 3m in from all four corners (see diagram) which you MUST RIDE AROUND. This is to keep it as fair as possible as you will all be competing in different arenas!
Your video will serve as proof of your time taken, and will be calculated by us when judging.
Easter Fancy Dress will give you a 5 second bonus! :D

Rosettes 1st - 6th. Split by age (8 and under, 9 and over) if enough entries.

2. On Foot Egg and Spoon Race
​
How fast can you walk or run with an egg and spoon? This event will be done on the centre line of a standard 20x40m arena. You must start at C, run all the way up to the A end, and return back down the centre line to C to show the judge your egg still on it's spoon!

If you drop the egg, you must stop and pick it up before continuing.

A cone or block must be placed 1m in from A (on the centre line, see diagram) which you MUST RUN (or walk!) AROUND. This is to keep it as fair as possible as you will all be competing in different arenas!
